Couples looking for character
We stumbled upon this gem while seeking unique stays in North Yorkshire. The host Vicki brought us fresh milk to our room each day, a personal touch, made our mornings better, and don't get me started on the good resident dog 'Basil' who guided us to the door.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but considering the experience, I think it was acceptable.

Loved the historic charm and beautiful views. The narrow entrance road made access tricky for us. Great hiking trails right from the hotel.

The historic charm of Braithwaite Hall is enchanting, with its wonky staircase and carefully considered decor that celebrates its age. The large oak-paneled drawing room felt inviting.
Narrow entrance road could be challenging for some.

I adored the authentic charm of Braithwaite Hall, upgraded with its period features and beautiful decor. The spacious King Room with its modern amenities.
A wider entrance road would help ease access.

Navigating the narrow entrance road posed a bit of a challenge, especially if you're driving something larger than a speeder. The main hall was unfortunately off-limits for viewing due to repairs, leaving a bit of historical curiosity unquenched . Some guests might find the lack of more extensive food options beyond breakfast limiting. Aside from what's served in the morning, there aren't many choices nearby for other meals.

Perfect getaway in a cozy farmhouse
Vicky was super friendly. The king room was huge and the bed was so comfy! Delicious breakfasts fueled our days of exploring. The only thing was the bathroom could've used a bit more counter space, but that's minor. Loved the vibe!
